Following the launch of Chanel’s new bag – the Gabrielle – in their Spring/Summer 2017 show, the luxury brand has announced four of the fashion and entertainment industry’s biggest names to star in its upcoming campaign. Debuting on 3rd April 2017, expect to see Chanel’s brand ambassadors – Kristen Stewart, Caroline de Maigret, and Pharrell Williams – with model-actress Cara Delevingne, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld himself, toting the new bag.

As a tribute to founder Gabrielle Chanel, Lagerfeld wanted the Gabrielle bag to possess the same elegance and quality found in all Chanel handbags. The result is a soft and lightweight body fitted on a rigid thermoformed base, allowing you to carry it with ease. With its adjustable strap featuring two leather woven chains and gold and silver metal, you can wear it over your shoulder and as a sling, or both at the same time. Its versatility adapts to your style and occasion, much like the variety of the four chosen faces to star in the bag’s campaign.
What makes Karl Lagerfeld’s hand-picked cast special? Actress Kristen Stewart has appeared in several of the brand’s fashion and beauty campaigns since 2013. French model, music producer and writer of the book ‘How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are: Love, Style, and Bad Habits’, Caroline de Maigret, is a close friend of Karl Lagerfeld. Award-winning musician, Pharrell Williams, appeared in Chanel’s short film – where he also composed the music – that celebrated the Paris-Salzburg collection alongside model-turned-actress, Cara Delevingne.
Will Chanel’s upcoming campaign distinguish the Gabrielle as the new iconic bag you should get your hands on? With Karl Lagerfeld designing the Gabrielle with versatility and flair and naming the bag after the house’s founder, we wouldn’t be surprised.
