The latest Louis Vuitton campaign stars Ghesquière’s favourite muses: Michelle Williams, Jennifer Connelly, and more.
Kicking off the New Year is the latest Spring/Summer 2017 advertising campaign from Louis Vuitton, shot none other than in the city of love. Titled “Series 6”, the campaign will give you a walk-through of a romanticised Paris, highlighting places such as the Place Louis Aragon, the epicentre for historical art movements like Dadaism and Surrealism. Shot by legendary photographer, Bruce Weber, he captures a series of pictures starring Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière’s favourite muses: Michelle Williams, Jennifer Connelly, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Sasha Lane, and fresh runway faces.
“Series 6” brilliantly transforms the Louis Vuitton muses in the tradition of women long admired and revered by the greatest writers, poet laureates, and most prominent painters. They transform into modern inspirations for a reimagined Paris, set on the Ile Saint Louis. Enchanted by the romantic poetry of the River Seine, Weber depicts his subjects through powerful silhouettes.
With Paris as the backdrop of Louis Vuitton’s “Series 6” campaign, it exhibits an atmosphere of artistic enthusiasm that Bruce Weber wanted to bring back to life. Click through the gallery for Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2017 campaign images.
