For this Holiday 2016, Tory Burch tapped on the creative direction of Italian fashion editor and stylist, Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert, to work on a short fashion film titled “Tory Story”. Starring Jessica Hart alongside two other models lip-syncing to Kent Jones’ “Don’t Mind”, the film features the brand’s Holiday 2016 and Resort 2017 collections. Watch close enough and you’ll catch the Contributing Fashion Editor at W and Senior Fashion Editor at Vogue Japan in a cameo role too.
When creating the film, Engelbert was fuelled by none other than the versatility of the holiday looks themselves. Fused with a celebratory spirit of island living, the tropical-themed collection was inspired by Roundhill, Jamaica, during its prime — reimagined into playful pieces you can bring to your next tropical getaway. You will get glimpses of the brand’s latest designs such as the Half-Moon Metallic Satchel and the Peace Smoking Slippers as Hart rummages through her presents and wardrobe. Looking for holiday and travel outfit inspiration? Watch as Engelbert puts together printed dresses and colorful swimwear stylised with Tory Burch accessories.
With the style maven’s creativity and bravura, this collaboration was a match made in heaven.
