Come 2017, Louis Vuitton City Guides collection introduces four new cities and updated titles in six existing cities.
When Louis Vuitton introduced the first copy of its City Guides collection in the 90s, we have yet to recognise the significance of having a guide embedded with exquisite travel essentials. In present-day however, travel has made a topic on its own — from your conversation opener at the secret pantry hours, to the dining table on the 57th floor.
Containing travel know-hows shared by journalists, writers and artists, Louis Vuitton City Guides speak about travel in the most creative, upbeat and sophisticated manner. The addition of four new cities to it 2017 collection — Amsterdam, Lisbon, San Francisco and Taipei — called on the talents of guest contributors who gave new voices to their home cities. The new range will also see updated titles to include new addresses in Cape Town, Mexico City, Moscow, Seoul, Shanghai and (yes!) Singapore.
The well-travelled can expect the City Guides to offer more than just dwelling spaces and shopping locales. Be a gastronome, the museum person, name your hide-outs in the city districts, and step up your travel game by hunting down secret spots divulged in your copy. It’s the quintessential guide we need not just to pass through a city, but also to live its culture and become that curious resident-traveller.
If you are not that much of a book person, the Louis Vuitton City Guides Collection is also available for download on the App Store.
