From paper dolls to a taste of the tropics, here are the highlights of Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017.
Can you believe that fashion season is coming to an end? We can’t, either. This week, we head on to our third stop for Fashion Week, Milan, and immerse ourselves in Italian culture dictated by old and new influences. From the emergence of supermodel Lauren Hutton on the runway to played up designer logo t-shirts, here are 10 highlights of what these designers —with an eye for opulence and flounce — have in store for their Spring/Summer 2017 collections at Milan Fashion Week.
50th Anniversary Celebration at Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta celebrates its 50th anniversary with their Spring/Summer 2017 collection for Fashion Week. Creative Director, Tomas Maier, worked with a wide range of colours (and some prints) for the collection and applied this to versatile pieces such as midi skirts, leather coats, and pantsuits. Let’s also not forget the weave leather bags the house is known for. He ends the show by sending two renowned models of their eras — IT girl of the now Gigi Hadid, and timeless icon Lauren Hutton — side by side down the runway.
