Ex pro golfer Su-Ann Heng sheds light on her sportswoman journey with Cancerian flair. Plus, we recommend the best gift ideas for a Cancerian woman.
The hardest decision a sportsperson has to make in the course of their career is to let go of the sport they have fought hard to strive for. This was the case for ex-pro golfer Su-Ann Heng. “Every golfer has a beginning,” Su-Ann once said. At the age of nine, she picked up golf from her weekly family time, and began competing and training for the sport. That was the turning point for her. She decided that she wanted to pursue a career in professional golf.
Su-Ann moved to Australia when she was 14 years old for four years, and was offered a golf scholarship in USA to play college golf. After a break, she turned pro in 2011 and competed on the mini tours and the Australian Tour. After multiple setbacks, which included injuries, Su-Ann made the tough decision to stop competing and move back to Singapore to start anew.
All was not lost. Today, Su-Ann is a golf instructor and broadcasts as FOX Sports’ main golf pundit, presenting alongside fellow golfer Timothy Low for all the major golf properties on the channel. She will be covering the key golf tournaments this summer, including the US PGA Championships in July. “I get to talk, analyse, and discuss a game I love the most,” said Su-Ann. “I am more involved and in touch with the golfing world now than I ever was, and I love it. I’ll never look back.”
