Lust-Have: The Singapore Skyline Scarf

Not a souvenir: The Singapore Skyline Scarf by Malaysian brand dUCk Group gives an extra dose of chic to your wardrobe.

“Maybe it’s the distance, maybe it’s the accessibility, but there is something about this country that draws me to it every time,” revealed D, brand ambassador and illustrator for Malaysian scarf and stationery brand, dUCk Group. The elusive D wasn’t at the press event last month when dUCk Group launched the Singapore Skyline Scarf. No matter, her presence was felt through her illustrated piece that showcases a panoramic view of Singapore’s most iconic cityscape.

Our minds did wondered off a little as we try to imagine how the “urban chic, cool and stylish, fashion forward entrepreneur” named D looks like. But she’s only one-half of the stylish duo who founded dUCK Group. Partner and co-founder, Malaysian blogger Vivy Yusof graced the Singapore event to present the Singapore Skyline Scarf as part of the dUCk in the City Collection. The Singapore edition is the second release from a series of six pieces – the first featuring the Kuala Lumpur skyline, of course, the birthplace of the brand.

Available in white or black, the monochromatic Singapore Skyline Scarf features major Singapore landmarks, such as the Singapore Flyer and Marina Bay Sands against the skyscrapers of the Central Business District. Sounds like an “I love Singapore” type of souvenir? Don’t be mistaken, it’s as chic as can be. Its Lyocell fabric is also soft, lightweight and very, very wearable for our humid climate.

We can’t wait to preview the next dUCk in the City piece, but for now, rest assured we’ll be wearing this scarf around events a lot.

The Singapore Skyline Scarf will retail at SGD55 and is available from mid-March 2016 online.
