Come summer, and the search for a foundation that’s barely-there, lets your skin breathe and stays on through the day in spite of the heat commences. It literally sounds like a paradox – lightweight, yet longwearing coverage. Until now.
Shu Uemura have introduced Skin:FIT cosmetic water foundation with an innovative oil-free, bi-phase formula. The watery foundation provides sheer, breathable coverage that can withstand the heat and humidity of the day to last well into the long summer nights.
The key to its staying power lies in the Triple Powder Complex, which helps absorb sebum while concealing dull and tired skin; and together with Cosmetic Water that contains Mint and Pomegranate Extract it keeps skin looking fresh for up to 12 hours. It also contains Airlicium that ensures a soft matte finish, making it ideal for oily and combination skin types; and SPF 30 to protect you from the sun. If your skin tends to be dry, you can still use the foundation. All you need to do is ensure you adequately prep your skin with a serum and moisturiser before you use it.
The foundation comes with its own dual-textured brush sponge that lets you apply and set it. After shaking the product to mix it, dispense a few drops in the palm of your hand and dipping the flocky side in the liquid, start swiping it from the centre of your face outwards. Quickly turn the sponge over and dab the area you’ve just applied foundation to absorb excess water and to set it. This way you ensure the most beautiful natural finish.
Shu Uemura Skin:FIT Foundation retails at SGD68 (inclusive of sponge) and will be available at all Shu Uemura counters June 1, 2015
