What do Zoë Kravitz, BANKS, Odeya Rush and Christopher Abbott have in common? They are all artists who possess enviable individuality, authenticity and innate coolness. Characteristics that very much embody the spirit of the New York design house Coach – which is why the brand has chosen to feature intimate portraits of these four to represent their latest collection.
“The idea of the ‘American dream’ is relevant all around the world – independent spirits who lead their lives in an individual, unexpected way,” Stuart Vevers, Executive Creative Director of Coach, said. “The Coach Dreamers campaign offers a glimpse into the lives of four such souls. It captures the personality and attitude of the collection, as well as the people who will make it uniquely theirs. It celebrates cool, effortless ease, optimism and a sense of spontaneous freedom – all inspired by the spirit of Coach.”
The campaign was shot by Mikael Jansson in the great outdoors, with styling by Karl Templer and art direction by Fabien Baron. It features classic black and white photos of singer BANKS, a Los Angeles native, leaning on a tree trunk with a Leather Ranger Flap Crossbody; actress and founding member of the band LOLAWOLF Zoë Kravitz, grinning widely under rainfall and carrying a Leather Rhyder; Israeli-American actress Odeya Rush, all bundled up with a Mini Crosby Carryall in Floral strapped across her body; and indie film actor Christopher Abott, also standing in the rain, with a Pebble Traveler Tote.
The campaign reflects how this new generation of artists captures the energy of the times – and the sophisticated, youthful yet classic design of the collection is well represented by the four unique individuals. Any piece from the collection would be a beautiful addition to autumn and winter wardrobes for that touch of timeless luxury.
