Looks like Romeo Beckham is truly living up to his name. And we don’t just mean taking after his famous parents. The 12-year-old, named after the most romantic literary figure, has just starred in his own romantic holiday film called From London with Love.
The four-minute short film was directed by Burberry Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Bailey, and is part of the luxury brand’s first ever global festive campaign. “It continues to be an utter joy working with Romeo – he has charm, style and great energy,” Bailey shared of the young Beckham, who shows off a few dance moves in the film. “I’m delighted that he’s the lead role in our festive campaign.” If you remember, Romeo made his modelling debut with Burberry in their Spring Summer 2013 campaign. This film marks his second collaboration with the British fashion label.
Romeo stars alongside new British models and dancers Hannah Dodds and Anders Hayward, who take him through the streets of London as it turns into an enchanting and festive backdrop of holiday spirit. The movie delivers a visual feast through the magical journey of gifting as it highlights Burberry’s heritage icons. “This festive campaign is a celebration of everything we love at Burberry,” says Bailey. “The trench coat, the cashmere scarf, incredible music, our British weather, and working with great and talented people.” It also features an incredibly uplifting and masterful composition by Ed Harcourt entitled “The Way That I Live”. The British songwriter shared, “After travelling to the Far East and performing a waltz for umbrellas (‘You Can’t Stop The Rain’), Burberry invited me to compose another epic song for them. Written late one night, the resulting track is sort of a battle cry.”
The launch of the campaign is simultaneous with the launch of the full range of Burberry festive gifts in stores and on Burberry.com, offering the brand’s most personalised collection and customer services to date.
