New York Fashion Week 2014 may be over, but beauty aficionados are still abuzz with the bevy of stunning looks sported by the runway models. Here are three of our favourite makeup looks along with tricks of the beauty trade for you to steal. Keep those peepers peeled because these are the trends you’ll be wearing next spring or, if you’re anything like us, you’ll try some of them right NOW.
Bronze Eye with a Bold Lip
We love runway makeup that’s very wearable, which is why we were smitten with the beauty looks at the Carolina Herrera Spring 2015 show. The subtle bronze smoky eyes were paired with five uplifting M.A.C. lipstick shades, showing that simple yet sultry eye makeup can be worn with multiple lip colours and consistently look fab.
M.A.C. Cosmetics lead makeup artist Diane Kendal used M.A.C.’s Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Indianwood on the centre of the lid and a shimmery dark brown shadow on the inner corners of the eyes. Diane also skipped mascara to achieve a fresh and modern look. She says makeup trends for spring will focus on dewy, shimmery makeup that wonderfully complements bold lip colours. The five supersaturated lip shades used were M.A.C. Red, Brave Red, Make Me Gorgeous, Divaish and Girl About Town.
