Review: Gucci Première Eau de Toilette

If you think the Gucci Première Eau de Parfum is the perfect evening fragrance for the most glamorous events, then the new Gucci Première Eau de Toilette will be the ideal day fragrance to celebrate everyday success.

This latest launch by Gucci is a lighter and more delicate version of the Gucci Première EDP, a bestseller that has become synonymous with feminine strength and celebratory moments.

A radiant floral and citrus scent hits you at the top note, which has been created to emulate the pouring of  chilled champagne into a tall, elegant glass. It then develops into gentle floral accords of freesia, jasmine and soft Bulgarian rose. Finally it dries down to a captivating fragrance of leather, patchouli and musk.

As for the packaging, it retains the signature metal charm that can be found on the EDP, entwined with the House’s iconic horsebit. You’ll also find the signature of founder, Guccio Gucci and the House’s signature web stripe on the bottle.

For me, the Gucci Première EDT is like fairy dust, a spritz of the fresh fragrance on my wrists smell of confidence that I’m only glad to bring to the boardroom, just as I would when I meet my date on a weekend. Yet, we’re not looking at that overpowering, “you-can-smell-her-before-you-see-her” assertiveness. This fragrance is understated, delicate, and bright, one that makes a statement to yourself, reminding you to channel the superstar quality in you, rather than to declare to the world that you’re a power woman.

The Gucci Première Eau de Toilette retails at BHG Bugis and Tampines,Takashimaya, Robinsons Orchard and Isetan Scotts and is available in 30ml, 50ml and 75ml.
