If only we are blessed with legs that go on for miles or a slender neck that a ballerina has, our life would be that much sweeter in front of the mirror. Thank goodness we can create the illusion of perfect proportions with the right clothes. Clothes make a wo(men)’ – you can’t deny that first impressions will and always be locked by appearances. To help you along, we’ve got some tips that can make sure that your clothes flatter and not flatten you.

TIP 1: Accentuating your curves.

A defined waist makes a woman THE woman instantly. Marilyn Monroe certainly wasn’t Victoria’s Secret material but with her smarts to accentuate her waist instead of hiding her curves, she deserve every bit of the sex icon status she enjoyed. Those with inverted triangle, rectangle and hourglass body types will look great in clothes that flare out slightly at your waist, like the peplum; either a top or skirt in said style will work fine. Another way to get it right – cinch in your waist with a skinny belt, and then frolic all you want in your almost-Marilyn glory.
