If you’re attending a cocktail party thrown by your boss for the team and your clients, you’d probably want to channel an understated glamour that makes you appear charming but still professional. To achieve this look, we recommend a makeover at the Burberry Beauty counter.
I made an appointment with Burberry Beauty at its new Tangs Orchard counter, and was greeted by makeup artist, Mindy, who was dressed in a neat uniform that’s adorned with a scarf in Burberry’s signature checkered prints. After cleaning my face thoroughly, we started the makeover with Fresh Glow (S$70), a pearlescent primer, which is also Burberry Beauty’s all-time bestseller.
What’s interesting is that, after priming, Mindy went on to gently swipe Lip Cover (S$43) in Cameo, a lipstick, onto the apples of my cheeks and blended out the colour, creating a warm glow on my skin. She explained that this is Burberry Beauty’s unique regime that helps create a natural-looking flush on the cheeks.
After analysing my skin tone, she decided on the brand’s Sheer Foundation Trench (S$77)in No. 05 for my foundation shade.
Sheer Concealer (S$52) in Rosy Beige was applied sparingly on the under eye area to conceal dark circles, which instantly brightened my eyes, making me look less fatigue. The same product in a lighter shade (Soft Beige) was used for highlighting the nose bridge, chin and forehead. This concealing and highlighting process made my skin look fresh. This canvas was finally sealed with Sheer Powder (S$80) in Porcelain. To bring out a warmer look, Mindy used Light Glow (S$61) in Tangerine Blush on my cheeks.
