Designer Make-up Collaborations

Karl Lagerfeld, Kate Spade and Michael Kors. What they have in common aren’t just super fabulous fashion lines, but they’ve also put their names on beauty products to lend an extra sprinkling of glamour.

Karl Lagerfeld For Sephora
In celebration of his Designer Of The Year win, Karl Lagerfeld has created a limited edition make-up collection exclusively for Sephora. It can only be found in Europe and — hurray! — Singapore. Our favourite item has to be the five-colour eye-shadow palette (S$65), which features pans in the shape of Lagerfeld’s silhouette. We’re so sure this is going to be a hit among both Chanel and Sephora fans.

Kate Spade Is Supercalifragilipstick
Have you heard? Kate Spade has teamed up with Poppy King to launch glossy lipsticks in bold colours. In line with the vibrant, whimsical designs of Kate Spade, they have been named Supercalifragilipstick. Cute! And it’s affordably priced at US$24 (S$31.50). On the downside, this is said to be a one-off collaboration, so we probably won’t be seeing a full Kate Spade make-up collection any time soon.

Michael Kors + Estee Lauder

This Christmas, Michael Kors has partnered up with Estee Lauder to thrill fans with a make-up bag designed by Kors himself, along with powder compact, lipstick, lip gloss, eyeliner pencil, eye-shadow brush, and a blush brush. While it’s tempting to choose your bag based on their sumptuous colous — silver, gold and pewter — we suggest you think about the make-up colours that’d go best with your skin tone.
